Hannah grew up in a one-stoplight, cornfield-encircled town in rural Illinois. Upon earning her associates degree at Carl Sandburg College, she transferred to Western Illinois University for her bachelors and masters degree, where she studied psychology and developed a passion for research. She went on to earn a PhD in experimental psychology at Texas Christian University, where she worked with Dr. Sarah E. Hill in the Hill Evolutionary Social Psychology Lab.

Hannah enjoys teaching and working with undergraduate students on research projects.

When she's not at school, she likes to spend her time reading, knitting, hosting dog parties, drinking wine, and entertaining her standard poodles, Mephisto and Zappa.
